England's Turf Wars with Russia

They're taking the pitch! Really they are! I'm not sure if something underhand is going on, but it looks like England will have to play Russia in their EURO 2008 qualifier on an artificial pitch!

I'm not kidding! The Russian FA still have to get approval from UEFA to use the 84,000 capacity Luzhniki Stadium. Our FA are taking that game very seriously and have already sent out three delegations to get more information so the team will be as prepared as they can be.

It looks like England may use Man Utd's training facility as they, Arsenal and Chelsea have training pitches anything like the one in Moscow.Publish Post
