Woodgate out of Euro 2008 Qualifier & England B

It's been the theme of the English Euro 2008 qualifying campaign. With Michael Owen getting back his match fitness following on from his World Cup injury now Jonathon Woodgate has been added to the missing list following on from his scheduled "exploratory" surgery today.

Owen is due to play in the England B gain against Albania in 11 days and will join other players recovering from injuries such as Owen Hargreaves, Aaron Lennon, Kieron Dyer and Alan Smith.

The defence line looks pretty weak, but it'll serve as a useful run-out for the whole team as Steve Mclaren looks to put a stronger, fitter and hopefully, more successful squad to face Estonia next month.
