September 6th Preview
England
The "Little and Large" show resumes tonight as England take on Macedonia in their second Euro 2008 qualifier which you can see live on Sky Sports from 7:30.
Crouch looks set to partner the diminutive De Foe up front as England looks set to win the first two games of a qualifying tournament for ten years.
Fans shouldn't under estimate the power and passion of the Macedonians as last time out they put up a very good fight. Tonight we'll see our players being tackled which we didn't last Saturday. We'll also see Robinson make saves and our backline under threat. It should make for a good game.
Rio Ferdinand will strengthen the back line. Philip Neville was strangly dissapointing against Andorra so how will the back line look this time out? Ferdinand, Terry, Cole for definite. But we're so short of a right-sided defender that it looks like Phil will be back in.
From the Gaffa:
"[Macedonia have] got a good record under Srecko Katanec. We respect them ... They are no mugs, have pedigree, and a good experienced coach. They are at home and have had 10 days to prepare ... These are all the things we have to cope with and it will be a real test."
Our Prediction: Macedonia 1:3 England
Scotland:
Scotland also face a tougher tie this time round away too Lithunia - the team that came away from the World Champions backyard with a well-deserved point.
Scotland's midfield and forward line perfomed well against the Faroe Islanders but it doesn't take a genious to recognise that Lithunia will be more of a threat.
Our Prediction: Lithuania 2:2 Scotland
Northern Ireland
Ok, they got thumped by Iceland 3-0 at the weekend and now Stuanton's men host Spain at Windsor Park.
What can we say, shall we go out on a leg and say Spain will win? All we hope is that the lad's in green put up a good fight, get stuck in and just loose by the odd goal. But finger's crossed, they'll win!
Our prediction: Northern Ireland 0:3 Spain
