Scotland 6 - 0 Faroe Islands
Well it was just what Scotland needed following their dissapointing World Cup qualifying campain. The boys in blue ran out comfortable 6-0 winners in their first Euro 2008 qualifying game against Faroe Islands.
The first goal came from the Man Utd midfielder - Darren Flether and was closely followed by McFadden three minutes later. Walter Smith's men were given two penalties, Boyd scored the first and Kenny Miller the Second and went in at half-time 5-0 up with a second from Boyd.
The Tartan Army must have tucked into their pies at half time with a massive grin on their faces, or was it relief given their previous draw with the Atlantic minnows?
The intensity of the game dropped when the players came back on to the field which was reflected in the lack of more goals until five minutes before the end when O'Conner side-footed a shot past the Islander keeper Mikkelsen.
Next up Lithuania away on Wednesday. Leave your thoughts on the match in the forum.
