Portugal May Be Excluded from Euro 2008

Yet another team has been threatened with expulsion from the Euro 2008 tournament. Following on from the threat of excluding Italy, and Spain saying they may pull out, now Portugal may be removed from the tournament.

And they've got until 14th September to sort it out. Vincente were releguated for fielding an illegible player. But the team tried to sue via the civil courts which contravene's FIFA's rules. So they threatened the Portuguese FA with expulsion.

So this not only threatens the national team in Euro 2008 but also the club teams in the Champions League.

We wait a resolution.
