France V Faroe Islands

For France's second home game against the Faroe Islands will be played at the Stade Bonal, Montbeliard where Sochaux play their games. This will be Les Bleus's first visit to the eastern France city in 102 years.

Their first game is a tough one away on the 2nd Sept against Georgia and then home against Italy on the Wednesday after (6th) and then Scotland on 5th October.

The venue for the rest of France's home games haven't been decided yet.

Seeing as Montbeliard is closer to Switzerland than Paris, which is a whopping 6hrs 20 mins away (according to Google Maps) and the closest city is Dijon (2hrs 15mins) away, its a bisurprisingng they chose that stadium. Perhaps they're trying to mix it like the English FA were forced to during the last World Cup qualification.

Useless Facts:
Stadium Name: Stade Auguste Bonal
Opened: 1931 but renovated again during 1998 and 2000.
Capacity: Only about 20,000

Opinion:
A neat looking stadium which should prove cozy.
