Estonia V Macedonia Review

Well the Estonia V Macedonia game last Wednesday showed some good flowing football that may not scare England, but the knowledge that these "lesser" teams still know how to play good football should help prevent any complaincy when we face Macedonia on 6th Sept.

The winning goal was scored at close range by the Macedonian captain Goce Sedloski 16 minutes from the final whistle. The Estonians were under pressure throughout the game but managed to resist the advanced of the classy Macedonians. They came close before half time with a shot from Ragnar Klavan which forced the Estonian goalkeeper Jane Nikolovski into a finger-tipped save. After the break the Macedonian team came out showing the same intent as they had in the first 45 minutes. Close to the end, the away side one-up they came close to sealing the victory with another goal as Andrei Stepanov's shop was somehow saved by Nikolovski in the final seconds.

With Macedonia having odds of 300-1 to win Group E at BlueSq I'm sure you could get some great odds for them at least qualifying which is surprising seeing as Estonia are only 100-1 and Macedonia have consistently out played the Estonians in recent years.
