Group B Preview

We love the Euro 2008 Group B! The atmosphere for the games against France and Italy will be intense, the Ukraine play some interesting football, Scotland is in the mix, its always interesting seeing teams like Lithunia and Georgia play, and we love high-goalscoring games against the Faroe Islands. There's a good chance we'll get some exciting games and maybe even a few suprises.

And the winners will be ...
Italy or France? Now that's a tough one. The core of the French side will be retiring or getting towards the brow of the hill, if not over it completely. Ribbery is looking like a top quality player and should prove to more than a handful for any defence. Theirry Henry is coming up to 29 so he should be in his prime for the next two years. Italy, obviously won the World Cup, and rightly so. How each team reacts to what happened in Berlin may decide who win's the group.

Coming up in second we have ...
France and a fair bit ahead of the Ukraine. The Ukraine are interesting but I don't think they'll be good enough to take on the French.

There's Bob Hope and No Hope ...
With such a strong group, unfortunately I don't see the Scottish team making it (I sure hope they prove me wrong!). Lithunia and Georgia could some how pull of a miracle - but that's something I don't see the Faroe Islands doing.
